Xiaomi has added a new Android smartphone to their range with the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi S2.
The handset is equipped with a 5.99 inch display that comes with a HD+ resolution and the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with an Adreno 506 GPU.
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage as standard, there is also another model with 4gB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The handset comes with MIUI 9 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and it has front and rear cameras.
On the front of the handset there is an AI assisted 16 megapixel camera for Selfies and on the back there is a dual camera setup. The dual rear cameras consist of one 5 megapixel camera and one 12 megapixel camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 will retail for CNY 999 which is about $160 at the current exchange rate, this is for the 3GB model. The 4GB model is slightly more expensive at CNY 1,299 which is about $204.
