Pokemon Go was a huge hit when it came out and while the hype has died down a lot since then, there are still many people who play the game. Last year Niantic launched the Pokemon Go Fest and now Niantic has confirmed that the Pokemon Go Fest will be headed back to Chicago this summer.
The Pokémon Go Fest 2018 is “A Walk in the Park in Chicago” and that describes what players will be doing during the full weekend celebration in July.
Visitors to Lincoln Park in Chicago on July 14th and 15th will be able to follow a trail of almost 2 miles to discover rare Pokemon. There will be physical guideposts and you can take part in exclusive activities, but we don’t know what those are yet.
The first event in Chicago had issues, but Niantic was able to host a number of big events in Japan, Korea, and cities across Europe afterward. Hopefully, fans will see that things will be better in Chicago this year. If you want to attend the Pokemon Go Fest 2018 you’ll have to purchase a ticket for $20. Tickets will go on sale on May 11th. If you don’t want to pay you can catch some rare Pokemon in the city during the Pokemon Go Fest weekend too.
