Dodge has pulled the wraps off a new SUV aimed at police forces around the US. The vehicle is the 2018 Durango Pursuit that is meant to give officers room and capability to catch the bad guys no matter where they run. The vehicle uses a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine that makes 360hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired up with an 8-speed automatic.
Dodge fits the vehicle with standard AWD for traction in severe weather and a low range transfer case for off-road work. The Durango Pursuit brings the longest wheelbase of 119.8-inches for stability and handling and can tow 7,200 pounds.
Dodge says it offers 8.1-inches of ground clearance, ParkView backup camera, power adjustable driver seat, air conditions, and a tri-zone interior that is K-9 friendly. Dodge says that the vehicle is available to order for a limited time, pricing isn’t offered.
